Opportunities at Manitoba Hydro
Our paid technical and trades-related training programs include indentured apprenticeships and non-indentured apprenticeships. Employment in these programs provides the opportunity to receive job training and work experience leading to journeyperson status and post-journeyperson development.
We offer 2-year technology-related training programs that include guided field experience gained by rotation through various departments and approximately 1,100 hours of classroom and hands-on learning.
We offer programs to new grads and have many professional employees working in engineering, business administration, information technology, and law.
We are the largest employer of electrical, civil, and mechanical engineers in Manitoba.
Career opportunities with specializations in business administration include accounting/finance, human resource management, marketing, Indigenous business, supply chain management, management information systems, and environmental sustainability.
Information technology career opportunities include data and data science, cloud enablement and security, process enablement, business analysis, platform services, application support, enterprise and solution architecture, cyber security, infrastructure, and operations support.
We offer over 250 summer employment opportunities in the energy industry to university and college students (with limited opportunities for high school students).
We typically hire students who are enrolled in academic programs that support our operational requirements. Preference is given to students who live in Manitoba.
Additionally, we offer co-op positions through various educational institutes, students are offered paid work terms related to their academic pursuits.
