Who is Minot State University?
Originally established in 1913 as a two-year normal school devoted to preparing teachers for service in the prairie schools of northwestern North Dakota, Minot State University has evolved steadily to what it is today. Minot State University offers a wide array of undergraduate programs in the liberal arts and the professions, and graduate education in eight master’s programs and one specialist program. Minot State is an integral part of the state and region it serves, and its mission and purposes are linked inextricably to the needs, aspirations, and the commonwealth of the people of North Dakota.
Some places have taller buildings or more students, but Minot State thinks bigger. We promote a strong community, where your accomplishments matter. We focus on programs that take you further in life and create deeper connections with faculty to give you more confidence in and outside the classroom.
