Co-op has a diverse and supportive work environment and benefits plan. We have many training programs that are offered through Heritage Co-op and the Co-operative Retailing System. One on One Management Training, Post Secondary Management Training, Student Development Programs and Excellence in Ag Scholarship as well as tuition reimbursement.
COVID-19: We were considered essential service, therefore we did not have to lay anyone off. Our food stores experienced a growth in sales and we hired additional staff to keep up with the extra traffic and ensure that we could maintain safety and protocols. Our Gas Bars experienced a decrease in litres as consumers were not travelling as much. Our Home Centres experienced an increase in sales due to consumers being stuck at home and doing home renovations. We are very conscientious about keeping our staff and customers safe while still providing essential items.
