Parents Involved in Career Planning!
The new realities of the contemporary workplace and the contemporary worker have changed our perception and use of the concept of career. Career development is now viewed as complex and multidimensional, involving growing through life and work - an interweaving of learning, experiencing, living, working, changing, and identifying and discovering pathways. Thus career development can be seen as the creation of an individual's life/work designs.
Teachers Implementing Positive Directions!
In the rapidly changing global economic, high-quality career information and instructional resources are vital to informed decision making by students, educators, counselors, and parents, as well as business organizations and institutions of higher education. Educators in career development in schools include awareness, exploration and preparation. Schools have their own unique career development tools that are used to assist students in the development of a career path. Along with academic development, and social/personal development, students are provided opportunities to learn, to explore, and to make good career choices so that their future will be one of satisfaction and that of success.
